Club Event - Karanga
- Sunday 21 June 2026
- 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
- Karanga, Eighty-eight Valley Road, Wakefield, Tasman
Sunday 21 June, we're organising a NOC club event at Karanga. Course setting will be done by Daniel Penney, with Meagan McIsaac taking care of the controlling. No dogs allowed at this event!
Like any orienteering event, there will be courses for all ability levels, from absolute beginners to seasoned orienteers. Karanga is a lovely day out on rolling farm land. The terrain is suitable for running. There are lots of fences on the farm, but carpet covers are put over fences, and these are marked on the map for White, Yellow, Orange to make life easy. Red will have fences removed from the maps to make life harder :D.
- White - 3.0km
- Yellow - 3.6km
- Orange - 5.7km
- Red - 7.4km (due to the nature of the terrain, there was no good option for an additional short(er) red course)
The start window is between 10 AM and 12 noon. Course closure is at 2 PM.
Registration is now open and closes on Wednesday, 17 June, at midnight.
The start location is on Eighty-Eight Valley Road, approximately 800 metres south of Wantwood Road. Parking will be signposted from the road.
