Event Fees 2025
Online Pre-registration only
From 2025 onwards, participants at events run by Nelson Orienteering Club need to pre-register online for each event.
This helps the event organisers to run all events smoothly:
- No queues at Registration during the event: participants only need to pick up their hired SportIndent, in case they do not have their own;
- Minimal crew needed at Registration during the event;
- There are enough maps printed for all participants, and no maps go to waste.

1) This is the maximum fee for a family;
2) A team can consist of a maximum of four participants, who will use only one SportIdent card per group, participating as a team, staying together during the race;
3) If there are enough maps available, and the start window has not yet closed, participants can try to do another, harder course for free;
4) If a junior is 'shadowed' on their course, the 'shadower' does not need to pay.
Registration on the day
In principle, there is no registration on the day. You could run the risk of showing up on the day without having pre-registered.
If there are additional maps available, you can register by paying a flat 'on the day' registration fee, equivalent to the non-member fees.
Special events
From time to time Nelson Orienteering Club runs special events. The fees for these special events will be decided by the Club Committee on a case-by-case basis.
